As ACTOR stepped inside the front door, he was greeted with great excitement by the renowned Dr. Smith. It seemed that Dr. Smith had called him urgently with something to show him, and ACTOR was curious to find out what it was. With a smug grin on his face, Dr. Smith led ACTOR into another room, presumably the living room, and exclaimed, ‘You’ve got to see what I did. I gave myself a present, and what’s the good of a present if you can’t show it off to your friends?’
Intrigued, ACTOR followed Dr. Smith into the room, only to be greeted by a call from off-screen. ‘Hound! Here, boy. Come on – come to Master!’ And in bounds Amir, completely naked and on all fours with a collar around his neck. It was evident that Amir had been transformed into a dog, obediently following Dr. Smith’s commands, but still full of playful barks and growls.
Dr. Smith proudly told ACTOR to play with Amir, who he described as a ‘big dumb dog, but one that knows all kinds of tricks.’ ACTOR couldn’t help but indulge in some playtime with Amir, throwing a ball for him to fetch and giving a few quick commands such as ‘roll over’ and ‘play dead.’ As they settled on the couch or in a chair, Amir rested his head on ACTOR’s lap, his tongue lolling out of his mouth, as ACTOR affectionately scratched his head. Amazed by what he was experiencing, ACTOR turned to Dr. Smith and exclaimed, ‘This is crazy. How did you do it?’
Dr. Smith, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, revealed his secret. He had discovered a way to transform himself into a dog, and had used it to give himself a unique present. As ACTOR sat with Amir, a mixture of shock and amusement on his face, Dr. Smith explained the process of transformation and how he had trained Amir to follow his every command.
Amused by the whole situation, ACTOR couldn’t resist trying out a few more commands on Amir. As he continued to play with the human-turned-dog, he couldn’t help but admire Dr. Smith’s ingenuity and creativity. It was certainly a one-of-a-kind experience that ACTOR would never forget.
As their visit came to an end, ACTOR bid farewell to Dr. Smith and the playful Amir, still in disbelief at what he had just witnessed. Walking out the front door, he couldn’t help but think that it truly was a world full of unique and unexpected surprises.
