Long before Will Justice and Duncan Chase joined forces to bring down the notorious criminal known as “The Tickler,” Will had faced off against his arch-nemesis on his own…and paid the price. The memory of that fateful encounter still haunted him to this day.
It had been a typical night patrolling the city when Will spotted The Tickler’s gang of thugs in action. Without hesitation, he sprung into action, his heart racing with determination to bring the villain to justice. Little did he know, this would be the night that changed everything.
Will charged toward the group, his leather-clad body propelling him through the air with a graceful fury. He landed squarely on top of two of the thugs, knocking them to the ground with a satisfying thud. But before he could react, a third thug grabbed him from behind and pinned his arms to his sides. The rest of the gang closed in, surrounding him like a pack of rabid wolves.
In a matter of seconds, Will found himself bound tightly with rope, his arms and legs stretched to their limits. A bandana was tied around his head, blinding him to the world around him, and a massive red ball gag was stuffed into his mouth, rendering him unable to speak. His breath came in ragged gasps as the ropes bit into his skin, chafing and bruising him with every movement.
The Tickler, reveling in Will’s helplessness, approached the bound crimefighter, his grin widening as he surveyed his handiwork. “Ah, Will Justice,” he purred, his voice muffled by the gag. “I’ve been waiting for this moment. You should have stayed out of my way.” He reached down and ran his fingers through Will’s unruly hair, causing the hero to shudder with revulsion. “But now, my pet, it’s time for your punishment.”
As The Tickler’s minions dragged Will away, the defeated crimefighter could only wonder what horrors lay in store for him. He knew one thing for sure, though: he wouldn’t go down without a fight. He would find a way to escape this nightmare, and when he did, he would make The Tickler pay for what he’d done.
