Stuart Knight, a seasoned member of the Rainbow League, felt a pang of regret as he realized his mistake. He had been too eager to prove himself, too determined to take down Roped Prose single-handedly. Now, he was paying the price. His wrists were crossed and bound behind his back, the thin, biting ropes digging into his skin, and his chest and abdomen were crisscrossed with more cords, pinning his arms to his back.
The yellow polo shirt, black leather gauntlets, white jodhpurs, and knee-high leather boots that usually made him feel invincient now only served as a cruel reminder of his current vulnerability. A huge red ball-gag stretched his jaw wide open, muffling his cries for help. His head was wrapped in layers upon layers of black wrap, leaving him completely blind and disoriented.
He winced as he heard footsteps entering the room, his heart racing with fear and determination. It could only be Roped Prose, the villain who had bested him and captured him so easily. The man’s voice was cold and mocking as he addressed his prisoner. “Ah, Stuart Knight, at last we meet face to face. You look rather helpless, don’t you think?”
Stuart tried to struggle against his bonds, but it was useless. The ropes were too tight, and his efforts only served to exhaust him further. He felt Roped Prose’s presence behind him, the villain’s hands groping and squeezing his bound form. “Please,” he managed to wheeze through the ball-gag, “let me go. I’m part of the Rainbow League. I can help you.”
Roped Prose laughed cruelly. “Oh, I doubt that very much, Stuart. You see, you’re not just a captive to these ropes. You’re a captive to your own pride. You thought you could take me down alone, didn’t you? Well, now you’re going to pay the price for your arrogance.” The villain paused, his breath hot against Stuart’s ear. “But don’t worry, my dear friend. I have plans for you. Plans that will make you regret the day you ever decided to cross paths with the Roped Prose.”
