That is until Yohan555, a creative enthusiast, suggested a new technique that has revolutionized the process.
The idea is simple yet effective – instead of dipping the rolls in water, wrap the subject with fiberglass first, and then apply the water. This may seem like a minor tweak, but it has made a significant difference in the end result. Yohan’s basement utility room, equipped with a shower, proved to be the perfect spot to try out this method.
With this new technique, the subject, Boy Blake, was completely wrapped with fiberglass before being drenched with water from the shower head. And the results were astounding! The previous method often resulted in difficulty in joining the arm and leg casts with the torso, as the resin would start to set before the wrapping was complete. But with this new method, all the joints adhered to the torso seamlessly.
One of the main advantages of this technique is that it allows for a more precise and detailed cast. With the traditional method, the time constraint of the resin setting could lead to uneven layers and gaps, resulting in an imperfect cast. By completing all the wrapping before applying water, the newly wrapped fiberglass sticks perfectly to the hardened layer, ensuring a flawless finish.
