Fer was on a mission to prove to his skeptical friend that time could indeed be frozen. His friend, known for his doubtful nature, rolled his eyes every time Fer brought up the topic. But Fer, fueled by a mix of excitement and determination, had a surprise up his sleeve.
One sunny afternoon, Fer invited his friend over to his house, the perfect setting for his grand demonstration. The friend arrived, arms crossed, with a smug expression plastered on his face, expecting another one of Fer’s wild tales. “Alright, let’s get this over with,” he said, stepping into the room.
Fer led him to a spot in the backyard, where he had set up an intricate contraption. It was a mishmash of gears, wires, and what appeared to be a tiny crystal orb nestled at the center. The friend’s curiosity piqued slightly, but he remained steadfast in his skepticism.
“Just watch,” Fer instructed with a knowing smile. He flipped a switch, and the contraption whirred to life. The crystal began to glow with an eerie blue light, casting a soft aura over the surrounding area. Suddenly, everything around them – the leaves on the trees, the birds in mid-flight, even the very air itself – appeared to stop moving.
The friend’s jaw dropped in disbelief. He tried to move, but his body remained stuck in place, as if he were a statue. Panic began to set in as he realized that Fer might have actually done it – frozen time. Fer, on the other hand, was unfazed. He casually strolled around the backyard, waving his arms and picking up a leaf that hovered in the air as if it had been painted there.
“You see?” Fer said, his voice echoing in the timeless silence. “Time is frozen!”
The friend’s mind raced with questions and fear. Was this real? How was it possible? He struggled to form words, but all that came out was a series of astonished gasps. Fer approached him, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
“But why?” the friend managed to croak out.
Fer leaned in close and whispered, “Because I can.”
The friend’s skepticism washed away, replaced by a mix of wonder and trepidation. He looked around, seeing the world around him as a still photograph. Fer reached out and gently pushed him, sending him floating backwards through the stagnant air.
The friend felt a strange sensation, as if he were swimming through Jell-O. He landed with a thump, his body now obeying the whims of this new temporal reality. Fer walked over to his frozen friend, a grin spreading across his face.
“Don’t worry,” Fer assured him. “I’ll show you how to move in a bit. First, let’s enjoy the silence.”
The two of them sat there, in the midst of the stopped world, sharing a moment that would be forever etched in their memories. The friend, still in shock, slowly began to appreciate the beauty of the stillness. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated wonder.
