Magic Cartoonification for Step-Sons – Manpuppy
Richard Lennox strolls into his living room, only to be met with an unexpected and chaotic scene. His step-sons, Elis Ataxxx and Rowan Hunter, are doubled over in uncontrollable laughter as they watch absurd Saturday morning cartoons. Richard lets out a heavy sigh, already feeling a headache coming on. He can’t understand why two grown men would find these silly cartoons so entertaining.
‘What the fuck is wrong with you two?’ Richard asks exasperatedly, rolling his eyes. But his words of disapproval fall on deaf ears as the step-sons continue to cackle and giggle at the screen. Richard knows that there’s no point in trying to reason with them. They’re just having their own brand of fun and he can’t blame them for that.
In fact, as they watch the cartoons, Elis and Rowan can’t help but wish they could become a part of that wacky world. They daydream about the freedom and joy of being animated characters, free from the constraints of reality. Little do they know, Richard has a secret – he’s a wizard. And he’s about to make their wish come true.
With a flick of his wand and a mumbled incantation, Elis and Rowan are suddenly living in their very own cartoon. Everything they do is accompanied by exaggerated sound effects and goofy movements. They test out their newfound abilities by running into walls and playfully bopping each other on the head, just like in the cartoons. And sure enough, they look and sound just like they’re living onscreen.
But they soon realize that being in a cartoon isn’t all fun and games. In fact, it can be quite mischievous. They decide to torment Richard by stripping him and giving him wedgies, complete with the iconic ‘boing’ rubber band sound effect. Richard never expected to be subjected to this kind of humiliation, but he can’t stop them as they gleefully gang up on him.
As the step-sons continue their playful antics, Richard can’t help but feel annoyed. The once-peaceful atmosphere of the living room has been transformed into a chaotic cartoon set. And while the step-sons find it hilarious, for Richard, it’s anything but. In a high-pitched, exaggerated voice, he laments, ‘Look at…the pretty…birdiessss!’
Despite Richard’s protests, the step-sons continue to enjoy their newfound cartoon abilities. And while it may not be the most ideal situation for Richard, he can’t deny that it’s definitely one of the most memorable days in their household. Who knows what other surprises and adventures await them now that they have a touch of magic in their lives?
